Innovations

Strategic organization Best Practices Hub

Effective planning is crucial as it ensures that goals are set, resources are allocated efficiently, and activities are aligned with the overall mission of Toastmasters. This process is essential for achieving success and will be transferred to district leaders, equipping them with a clear roadmap to follow and adapt as needed.

Best Practices Hub

More effective sharing of methods and strategies used by members and clubs to achieve success in leadership development and communication. These practices are based on experience and proven results, ensuring consistent quality and improvement of member skills.

Handover

Handover is a crucial moment to ensure continuity, effectiveness, and growth. Since my time as Club President, I’ve designed a process that combines Toastmasters International handover guidelines with team-building activities, creating smooth and collaborative transitions. I’ve successfully implemented this process at every step of my journey—and two years ago, it helped me to pass the baton to new leaders without impacting the club, area or division quality. This process consists of:

  • A follow-up plan to support new leaders during their first weeks
  • A clear timeline with deadlines for each step of the transition
  • A shared checklist based on Toastmasters International resources
  • A joint meeting between incoming and outgoing leaders
  • A team-building session to strengthen trust and collaboration

Resources I made available

Guide to creating an experiential moment where the excomm members can build their team, get to know each other, and develop their group identity. Through this process, they will identify their system of values, communication styles, and goals.

Criteria that guided me

Structured process where outgoing excomm members transfer their knowledge, responsibilities, and resources to the incoming team. It ensures continuity, preserves valuable insights, and sets the new team up for success by providing them with the necessary information and support to effectively assume their roles.
